Seth Meyers Seth Meyers hosts another installment of his “Day Drinking” series, this time featuring actress Kristen Stewart. The segment begins with Stewart criticizing his directing abilities and concludes with her elevating him to the status of “a lesbian icon.”
However, we'll start at the end where both were quite intoxicated. To conclude the segment, Meyers commended Stewart’s acting abilities (something he did several times during the segment) and also acknowledged her as “a lesbian icon,” a title Stewart welcomed with pride.
Meyers stated, “Here’s the deal, Kristen Stewart. I have a bunch of lesbian accessories and clothes behind us, and I am now counting on you to turn me into a lesbian icon.”
Notably, behind him were racks of clothing and accessories, including a tote bag with the words “Kiss More Girls.” While Stewart browsed through the options, she swiftly remarked, “This is really outdated, dude!”
She eventually picked out an ensemble for Meyers: a denim jacket which he buttoned only at the top, worn over a white top, along with glasses, an olive beanie, and pants.
“Dude! You look cool,” Stewart commented, admiring the final result. “Don't you feel cooler than ever?”
This bonding moment starkly contrasted the beginning of the segment, during which Meyers confessed that Stewart is one of his favorite actors and promptly put her to the test.
“I love your choices. You’re an excellent dramatic actor. And, because of that, we have written the silliest lines for you,” he explained. “We want to showcase your talent, by having you deliver lines you’ve never seen before and move people with your skill.”
As she delivered those lines, Meyers tried to direct her, but she didn’t like being interrupted after one line made her laugh. So, when she tried again, she cut herself off.
“The last one was so much better,” Stewart said. “You’re such an idiot. You shouldn’t have cut me!”
