The police in Toronto are looking for a suspect following an assault on a TTC bus in south Etobicoke involving a woman.
The incident occurred just before 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday near Islington Avenue and The Queensway, as per the police.
According to Global News, the man hit the woman with a piece of wood or stick, said investigators.
The man then left the area. Police stated that the man and the woman were not acquainted.
The woman was brought to the hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.
The reason for the assault is not known. The police are still investigating.
