Police in Saskatoon announced on Tuesday that they have arrested a 48-year-old man for breaking into several assisted living facilities in the city.
The break-ins began in December 2023 in the 1200 block of Osler Street, with a suspect breaking into one of the facilities on the block twice in one night.
In January, the suspect broke into an assisted living facility's underground parkade in the 2900 block of Louise Street, targeting items in unlocked vehicles.
In February, the man returned to the same facility but was unsuccessful in stealing anything.
Police used video footage to apprehend the man and charge him with breaking and entering, causing damage, and theft under $5000.
