The Delta State Police Command rescued three sisters who were reportedly kidnapped in Egbudu-Akah, Aniocha South Local Government Area of the state.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, revealed this in a post on his X handle on Tuesday.
His caption said, “The command yesterday, March 24, 2024, saved three sisters who were allegedly kidnapped in Egbudu-Akah, in Aniocha South LGA, and arrested one of the suspected kidnappers.
“The sisters have since been reunited with their families. This achievement happened when a concerned resident of the community saw the kidnappers taking the girls to the bush.”
He also mentioned that during a stop-and-search operation on the same day, the command's officers also caught a suspected cultist and found a homemade double-barrel gun.
He stated, “On the same date in Agbor, a suspected cultist was stopped during a stop-and-search operation. While searching, a homemade double-barrel gun was found.
“CP Abaniwonda Olufemi has ordered that the suspects be moved to SCID for further investigation.”

The victim was found in a coma after his captors left him. He was later taken to the General Hospital, Zaki-Biam, where he was cared for.
