Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) made an embarrassing effort to impress Trump on ABC's This Week.
Transcript from ABC's This Week:
RUBIO: Every day, the world experiences new crises and conflicts. Since Joe Biden took over, there have been problems in Afghanistan, Ukraine, the Philippines, and threats to Taiwan. There's also ongoing turmoil in Haiti and constant terrorist attacks and a large number of people crossing the border. This is what concerns me.
KARL: Are you implying that all of this is solely because of Biden?
RUBIO: Absolutely.
KARL: Even the Russian invasion of Ukraine?
RUBIO: Absolutely.
KARL: So, you believe it's all happening because of Biden?
RUBIO: Yes.
RUBIO: Yes.

Sen. Rubio (R-FL) attempted to place blame on Biden for events beyond his control, which may cost him humiliation as a United States Senator.
Despite denying discussions with Trump's team about joining the ticket, Rubio seemed to be auditioning for the position on ABC. Rubio's disdain for the Senate and consistent pursuit of the presidency indicate his desire to move to the White House.
Joining the Trump ticket would offer Rubio a path to the presidency, and he appears to be vying with Tim Scott to be the most willing Republican senator to embarrass himself in order to become Trump's running mate.
These senators are not swayed by Trump's charisma, but rather by the prospect of reaching the White House and potentially succeeding Trump in 2028.
Marco Rubio is determined to become president and seems willing to do whatever it takes to achieve this goal.
