At least four individuals have passed away in a stampede in Bauchi State during an act of giving alms.
The stampede took place at the Shafa Holdings Company Plc headquarters along Jos Road on Sunday around 10 a.m.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Wakili, verified the event to our reporter over the phone, and mentioned that the situation has been brought under control.
When asked for more information, he indicated that he would provide further details later due to being in a public location where he couldn’t discuss state security matters.
As of the time of writing this report, the company has not issued any statement on the incident.
