Calgary Flames goaltender Dan Vladar will have hip surgery that will end his season next week.
The Flames have announced that starting goalie Jacob Markstrom is now cleared to fully participate in practices and games after his lower-body injury.
In the meantime, Dustin Wolf, who was recently brought up from the AHL’s Calgary Wranglers, will continue to be on the Flames’ roster for emergency situations.
The team has mentioned that Vladar’s surgery will give him the chance to recover fully for the 2024-25 season.
