One of Kelowna’s popular beaches will receive upgrades to its irrigation system next week.
The city plans to allocate $170,000 to update the aging irrigation infrastructure at Rotary Beach Park.
Work will commence on Monday, March 25, and is expected to be finished by early summer.
The city stated, "These enhancements will prolong the lifespan of the irrigation equipment, reduce maintenance expenses, and lower water usage through the implementation of modern flow sensing technology.
The beach, along with all on-site facilities, will remain open during the construction period.
