The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is warning the public about a potential risk of exposure to Hepatitis A at a Shoppers Drug Mart in Saskatoon.
On Thursday, the SHA stated that individuals who bought food and drinks between Feb. 27 and March 19 at the Centre Mall at Circle and 8th Street East Shoppers Drug Mart may have been at risk if they didn’t use a self-checkout.
The health authority mentioned that although the likelihood of spread is minimal, those who may have made these purchases during that period without using self-checkout should reach out to HealthLine 811 by calling 8-1-1.
As per the statement, individuals who had potential exposure within the past 14 days might qualify for a Hepatitis A vaccination.
