Members of the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational Associated Institutions, and the National Association of Academic Technologists of the University of Lagos held a peaceful demonstration at the entrance of the university on Wednesday.
They stopped vehicles from moving and disrupted the smooth movement of traffic in the area.
They chanted and showed various signs to express their complaints to the Federal Government about their unpaid salaries.
The JAC of SSANU and NASU had, for about a month, demanded attention from the government regarding their exclusion from the payment of the unpaid salaries, which the Academic Staff Union of Universities started receiving in February.
Their salaries were withheld when the former President Muhammadu Buhari's administration enforced a 'No Work, No Pay policy' against the ASUU, SSANU, and NAATS, who went on strike for eight months, four months, and five-and-half months respectively in 2022.
However, NAATS also joined and began its three-day warning strike today.
