A disruption to GO train service will affect Toronto sports fans going to games this weekend.
Train service will be stopped on a large part of the Lakeshore West line, and buses will be used at some stations on Saturday and Sunday for track work.
According to an email from Metrolinx to Global News, trains will only run as usual between Niagara Falls GO and Aldershot GO.
Trains will not run between Aldershot GO and Union Station.
The transit agency said GO buses will be at West Harbour, Aldershot, Burlington, Oakville, and Clarkson GO stations.
Metrolinx said there will be no GO transit service at Appleby, Bronte, Port Credit, Long Branch, Mimico, and Exhibition stations.
It encouraged customers to use local transit options.
Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (MLSE) mentioned in a statement that the transit disruption will affect sports fans on Saturday.
The Toronto Marlies have a game at 4 p.m. at Coca-Cola Coliseum, the Toronto Maple Leafs have a game at 7 p.m. at Scotiabank Arena, and Toronto FC has a match at BMO field at 7:30 p.m.
MLSE stated that there will be extra streetcars and subways, but fans are advised to add extra time for heading to a game.
MLSE cautioned that parking is limited on Exhibition grounds for fans driving.
