Police in the Waterloo region were summoned to a school in Cambridge, Ontario, on Monday morning after law enforcement officials stated that a man made threats of harm to school staff.
Officials state that law enforcement officers were sent to a school on Guelph Avenue at approximately 10 a.m. following the incident being reported.
They mention that the officers quickly located and apprehended a 45-year-old man. He is facing charges for making threats.
Law enforcement did not disclose the name of the school involved, but mentioned that it was on Guelph Avenue. Two schools, Silverheights Public School and St. Gabriel Catholic Elementary School, are situated on that street.
No physical injuries were reported to the police, who affirm that there is no cause for public concern regarding safety.
