Actress Chrissy Metz from 'This Is Us' and Katie Lowes from 'Scandal' will be part of the main cast in the upcoming Starz drama series 'The Hunting Wives,' as announced by the network on Monday.
Metz and Lowes will be regulars on the show, joining Jaime Ray Newman from “Dopesick” and George Ferrier from “One of Us Is Lying,” as well as previously announced cast members Malin Åkerman, Brittany Snow, Dermot Mulroney and Evan Jonigkeit.
The series, based on May Cobb’s novel, tells the story of Sophie, who moves with her family to deep East Texas and becomes ensnared in the captivating world of socialite Margo Bank, leading to obsession, seduction, and murder, according to the official logline.
Filming for the series is currently taking place in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Metz will portray Starr, a proud working-class woman and committed Christian who struggles to fit into the elite society of the Hunting Wives.

Newman plays Callie, second in command of the Hunting Wives, who deeply falls for Margo.
Rebecca Cutter is the writer and showrunner, and executive produces alongside Erwin Stoff, while Lionsgate Television and 3 Arts Entertainment produce the series.
Lowes is represented by the Gersh Agency, Framework Entertainment, the Lede Company, and Schreck Rose Dapello Adams Berlin and Dunham.
