The ruling All Progressives Congress announced on Monday that it will begin selling Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for those interested in the governorship primary election in Ondo State from April 3 to April 10.
This information was revealed in a statement posted on the party’s official X handle by the National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu.
Argungu stated that the state governorship primary will take place on April 25, with the primary election appeal to address complaints and contestations scheduled for April 26.
The national organising secretary explained that the party's decision aligns with the Electoral Act 2022 as amended and relevant sections of the Constitution.
The statement mentioned, “In line with the relevant sections of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Electoral Act 2022, the APC hereby discloses its timetable and activities leading to the 16th November, 2024 gubernatorial election in Ondo State as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC”.
The expression of interest form will cost N10 million, while the nomination form is priced at N40 million by the ruling party.
However, female aspirants and people with disabilities have the option to only purchase the expression of interest form, as the nomination form is provided at no cost.
