Toronto police want to find a suspect involved in two separate hate-motivated attacks in the downtown area.
According to police, the first attack occurred on March 13 at around 12:30 a.m. near Dundas and Victoria streets.
The person who was attacked was walking through the area and passed the suspect, who was standing outside a building, according to police.
Investigators claim the suspect physically attacked the victim while using racial insults.
In another incident on March 15 at around 7:30 p.m., the suspect and another person were on a TTC subway train close to Bloor Street and Spadina Avenue, police stated.
Police allege the suspect deliberately bumped into the victim and then, as the victim was leaving the subway, attacked them while using racial insults.
The suspect then reportedly showed a weapon and threatened the victim, according to the police.
Officials describe the suspect as having a medium build and brown hair, and was last seen wearing a green hooded sweater, blue jeans, and beige Nike shoes.
Anyone with information should get in touch with the police.
