The FA Cup champions Manchester City will play against Chelsea in the semi-finals at Wembley, while Manchester United’s prize for their exciting victory over Liverpool is a match with second-tier Coventry.
The draw on Sunday raised the possibility of a repeat of last season’s all-Manchester FA Cup final, which City won 2-1.
City, who are aiming for three major trophies, comfortably reached the semi-finals with a 2-0 win over Newcastle on Saturday.
Chelsea had to score two late goals in extra time to defeat Championship promotion contenders Leicester 4-2 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
United came back from being behind 2-1 and 3-2 to defeat Liverpool 4-3 at Old Trafford on Sunday, thanks to Amad Diallo’s last-minute goal in extra time.
United will play against Coventry, a team from the Championship, who shocked Wolves 3-2 at Molineux on Saturday with two goals in stoppage time.
