Life insurance company African Alliance has paid out more than N1.1bn in claims in the first 58 days of the year.
The Managing Director of the insurance firm, Joyce Ojemudia, revealed this in a statement shared with The PUNCH on Sunday.
She stated the company’s dedication to promptly settling the claims of its policyholders.
“African Alliance is committed to promptly and professionally settling all valid claims, ensuring lasting happiness and satisfaction for our valued customers.
“From 2019 to 2023, African Alliance demonstrated this commitment by disbursing a substantial sum of over N40bn. This significant payment covered various business units, including: group life- N5.1bn; individual life- N7.5bn, Esusu- N3.4bn; Takaful- N2.8bn and annuity- N21.4bn,” Ojemudia stated.
She reiterated her promise to stakeholders, highlighting ongoing strategic efforts to propel African Alliance to the forefront of the life assurance business in Nigeria.
“These efforts aim to secure a larger market share while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and prioritizing customer satisfaction,” she pointed out.
In December, African Alliance Insurance Plc revealed that its claims payment increased by 17 per cent from 2020.
