Terrorists attacked the Dogon-noma community in the Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State early on Saturday.
The assault occurred just three days after one person was killed and eight women were abducted in the Banono Angwaku community in the same local government area.
Former local government chairman, Cafra Caino, confirmed the recent attack on Saturday.
He stated that the invaders, in large numbers, arrived at the village around 5:45 am on Saturday and started shooting without aiming.
Caino mentioned, “We don't know the number of casualties yet because the residents fled when the attackers entered the community.
“In 2019, the community suffered a severe attack where 74 people were killed and has continued to experience assaults recently.
PUNCH Online stated that both Kajuru and Chikun Local Government Areas have recently been frequent targets of attacks and kidnappings.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, asked our reporter to send a text message as he was driving, but he had not responded at the time of this report.
Details will be provided later.
