The Pittsburgh Steelers added an experienced receiver to their team. Van Jefferson, but it's likely that they will add more players to their group of wide receivers. The player that the Pittsburgh team seems most interested in signing as a free agent wide receiver is from the Cincinnati Bengals. appears to be Cincinnati Bengals veteran Tyler Boyd. But if Boyd signs elsewhere, another rival wideout could become a target for Pittsburgh — Odell Beckham Jr.
Sports reporter Mike DeFabo from The Athletic included Beckham in the list of top free agent options for the Steelers at wide receiver.
The Steelers have already added two former Baltimore Ravens players this offseason, including linebacker Patrick Queen and safety DeShone Elliott. Adding a third player from the AFC's number one team in 2023 to weaken a top receiving threat from a division rival makes a lot of sense.
Beckham only caught 35 passes in 2023, but he made the most of his opportunities. He recorded 565 receiving yards, with an average of 16.1 yards per reception. He also scored 3 touchdowns and had a significant impact on the team's dynamics.
“The Ravens were impressed with what he brought to the team, and he mostly delivered when given opportunities,” wrote The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebeic.
Beckham was the second-highest receiver for Baltimore. The Steelers are searching for a number 2 receiver to support George Pickens after trading off Diontae Johnson on March 12.
