Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Kano State caught a man named Muhammad Munzali from Kaura Gidan Damo, Shanono Local Government Area of the state.
The NSCDC officers were part of the Critical National Assets and Infrastructure Department in the state.
The PR Officer of the NSCDC, Ibrahim Abdullahi, confirmed the arrest of the suspect in a statement provided to PUNCH Online on Friday.
The man was seized around 10pm on Wednesday night by observant corps officers while sneaking into the female dormitory of Skyline University Nigeria, located along Sardauna Crescent, Nassarawa GRA, Kano State.
The spokesperson stated, "The suspect was reported to have disguised as a woman and was found with traditional charms on his body."
According to Abdullahi, an investigation is ongoing to uncover the reason for his entry into the private university’s women’s dormitory.
“The State Commandant, NSCDC Kano Command, Mohammed Falala, had recently, in a strategic meeting with management, urged officers and men of the command to be extra vigilant.
“He emphasized the need to increase surveillance in and around public and private educational institutions in the state to protect them from criminal elements,” the statement said.
