The body of the former Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun, Alli Okunmade II, was buried at his Aliiwo ancestral home at around 4.30pm on Friday.
PUNCH Online reports that the late king, who ruled for two years, died passed away at the age of 81 on Thursday at the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Oyo State, after a short illness.
The deputy governor of the state, Bayo Lawal, led other government officials to the family burial ground at Aliiwo in the Ibadan North Local Government Area of the state.
There was a lying-in-state at Mapo Hall from 12 noon to 1pm before the body of the king was taken to Aliwo for burial after prayers.
