A young man has been seriously injured after a shooting in North Preston, N.S. late Thursday afternoon.
The RCMP said in a statement that officers were called to a report of a shooting on Downey Road around 4:23 p.m., where they found an 18-year-old man with a 'visible gunshot wound'.
The injured person was taken to the hospital by ambulance with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators discovered many shell casings and damage consistent with bullet holes during the investigation. 'No other injuries have been reported to police,' the statement said.
Investigators do not think this was a random incident.
