Tinubu joins governors for Iftar at Aso Rock⁣

⁣President Bola Tinubu is having state governors over for a Ramadan Iftar (meal to break the fast) at the Banquet Hall of the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja. ⁣

The governors are the President’s initial group of Iftar guests. He is likely to have more similar gatherings with senior government officials during the holy month. ⁣

During previous Ramadan fasts, former President Muhammadu Buhari invited the leadership of the National Assembly, the Judiciary, the All Progressives Congress, and traditional rulers, among others.⁣

Although the meeting was not open to full media coverage, our correspondent observed the governors arriving around 6:30 pm.

At this time, the seated governors include those from Kwara, Delta, Benue, Plateau, Kogi, Kebbi, Bauchi, Borno, Ogun, Nassarawa, Ebonyi, Bayelsa, Gombe, Abia, Edo and Kaduna.
