The Ontario Provincial Police say a part of Highway 400 in Toronto is not open following a deadly crash on Thursday morning.
Police stated that the crash occurred in the southbound lanes of Highway 400 close to the point where Highway 401 splits for east or west travel at approximately 5 a.m.
The southbound lanes from Finch Avenue to the 401 are shut, according to police.
Global News reported that one individual was declared dead at the location by paramedics, and no other individuals required care.
Police claim that occupants of one vehicle escaped the scene on foot.
The reason for the crash is currently being investigated.
