As law enforcement searched for people connected to an undisclosed “incident” early Thursday, the RCMP instructed certain individuals living to the west of Edmonton to remain indoors to ensure their safety.
“Parkland RCMP are currently in the area on Highway 627, between Range Road 24 and Highway 770, in Parkland County, looking for suspects,” police said in a news release issued at 5:21 a.m. “Police are asking residents in this area to secure their doors and stay indoors. Please ensure your vehicles are locked and the keys are not inside.
“To ensure public and police safety, please refrain from posting the actions of police on social media.”
The RCMP stated they would provide an update once more information is available.
