The Calgary Police Service (CPS) is advising people to stay away from the 300 block of Penswood Way Southeast due to an ongoing shooting incident.
Police are also requesting local residents to remain indoors.
Calgary police reported the active incident in the northern part of the Penbrooke Meadows neighborhood on social media late Thursday.
The CPS tactical unit was conducting a search warrant at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Police mentioned that shots were fired at the officers before they entered the home.
“We currently have multiple police resources on scene and have secured the suspect residence,” police stated on social media at 4:45 p.m.
CPS mentioned that as of around 4:30 p.m., no injuries had been reported.
