Habitat for Humanity Okanagan has formed a partnership that could bring joy to a household.
The not-for-profit partnered with Norelco Cabinets in Kelowna to auction a custom kitchen and donate the proceeds to a good cause.
“We teamed up with Norelco. They donated an amazing kitchen for us to auction off, and all the proceeds will go directly to our Lake Country build,” said Courtney Clark, Habitat Okanagan’s communications coordinator.
On Tuesday, Feb. 19, Habitat Okanagan officially started the auction for a brand-new kitchen valued at $50,000.
“We are hoping to raise at least $20,000 from this kitchen. It would greatly help us with the kitchens in our final units in Lake Country,” Clark said.
Bidding starts at $5,000 and will increase by $100 increments with Norelco’s dream kitchen going to the highest bidder.
“You can work with one of our designers to customize it to fit your space perfectly”, said Norelco Cabinets marketing manager Jaclyn Keppler.
“You can add unique details that match your lifestyle.”
Those interested in viewing the dream kitchen can visit the Norelco Cabinets Design Centre at 677 Willow Park Road in Kelowna.
The online auction will continue until Monday, April 15, and the winning bidder will be announced on April 25.
