Toronto police report a multi-vehicle crash has resulted in at least four individuals being sent to hospital and the closure of an intersection in Scarborough.
Police indicated the collision occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday near Markham Road and Milner Avenue.
Six vehicles were part of the collision, with one overturning and igniting, according to police.
Paramedics informed Global News that they were attending to five individuals, with two men being urgently transported to hospital in critical condition.
Two other individuals received medical attention at the hospital for minor injuries. A fifth person was treated at the scene but did not require hospitalization, as per paramedics.
The intersection, along with the Highway 401 ramp, was closed in all directions, police confirmed.
