A 34-year-old man from Regina has been accused after police were sent for the report of a weapons incident.
Members of the Regina Police Service went to the 4100 block of Dewdney Avenue on Mar. 10 at 6:25 a.m.
“Medical center staff were reporting that a man brandished a weapon at a woman in the hospital waiting area,” police said. “The man threatened the woman with a bladed weapon, demanded her belongings, and ran away with her bag. The woman did not suffer any physical harm. Hospital security caught him.”
When officers got there, they arrested Chad Pratt and found the bladed weapon allegedly used in the incident.
Police said Pratt was found to be breaking the conditions not to have knives and keep the peace. Pratt was charged with robbery and failing to follow the terms of a release order.
The accused appeared in Provincial Court on Mar. 11, 2024 for the first time facing these charges.
