The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) discovered drugs concealed in the engine compartments and tire tubes of public transport vehicles.
Femi Babafemi, the Director of Media and Advocacy, disclosed this through his X account on Sunday, including a video displaying the seized illegal goods.
Babafemi expressed worry about the growing desperation of drug smugglers and questioned whether passengers should now inspect vehicle parts before getting on board.
In the shared videos, he stated, 'The desperation exhibited by drug traffickers is shocking. Should passengers start checking the engine compartment and tire tubes of public transport vehicles before boarding? These videos shed light on why #ndlea_nigeria officers are on the highway.'
