Toronto police report that a man passed away in hospital after a shooting close to an Etobicoke condo on Thursday evening.
Law enforcement said they reacted to reports of a shooting on Eva Road, near The West Mall, at about 8:35 p.m.
Officials discovered a man with gunshot injuries, according to police.
A man was quickly taken to hospital in critical, life-threatening condition, as per paramedics who spoke to Global News.
Authorities mentioned in an update that the man succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
The department responsible for investigating homicides has been brought in. There is no information on suspects or the cause of the shooting.
