Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for Toronto because a large amount of rain is expected this weekend.
The weather agency said that the heaviest rain is expected from late Friday to Saturday, with a total of 20 to 40 mm of rainfall.
Environment Canada stated that a low pressure system will bring widespread rain across southern Ontario this weekend.
Rain will start on Friday afternoon in southwestern Ontario and move eastward overnight, as mentioned in the statement.
By Saturday night, the rain is expected to change to flurries as colder air moves into the region, according to Environment Canada.
Saturday will have a high of 8 C and a low of -1 C. Sunday is expected to have a high of 2 C and a low of -5 C.
