“Conclave,” a new thriller by director Edward Berger, will be released in New York and Los Angeles on Nov. 1, with a wider release on Nov. 8, and is expected to compete for awards.
Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, and John Lithgow star in Berger’s upcoming movie, his first since a successful Netflix release in 2022.
The movie “Conclave” focuses on the secretive process of choosing a new Pope, with Cardinal Lawrence (played by Fiennes) uncovering a conspiracy that could shake the foundations of the Church.
“Conclave” was written by Peter Straughan, adapted from a best-selling novel, and produced by a number of individuals. It is set for release in the United States.
In 2024, Focus Features will release a number of projects, including “Conclave” and several others.
“Conclave” will be in theaters on Nov. 1.
