A set of search warrants carried out at the end of last month in southwest Edmonton led to the confiscation of about $350,000 worth of illegal drugs. The authorities also determined that a condo suspected of being a drug storage site is now unsuitable for living.
The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) revealed in a news release on Friday that police officers executed raids on three homes and two vehicles in southwest Edmonton on Feb. 29. ALERT believes that a condo in the Allard neighborhood was used for processing drugs. Officers found chemicals, buffing agents, and equipment used in the process of fentanyl conversion at the condo. fentanyl.
ALERT said the condo has been deemed uninhabitable by Alberta Health and will need extensive remediation.

Speaking broadly about drug trafficking, she said “drug dealers don’t care about safeguards and are profiting at the expense of our communities.”

The investigation remains ongoing as investigators prepare reports and disclosure for Crown counsel, according to ALERT's news release.
