The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Anambra State has brought back a 13-year-old boy, Goodluck Onwe, to his family after he got lost in Ebonyi State.
People found the teenager walking around in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State and the NSCDC in Ebonyi rescued him on February 4, 2024, at about 1 pm.
Anambra State Public Relations Officer of the agency, Okadigbo Edwin, shared this through a press statement on Friday.
Edwin mentioned that an inquiry found out that the boy stayed with a relative in Abakaliki but ran away to go back to his parents in Aguleri, Anambra State.
He said, “Subsequently, the NSCDC, Anambra State Command, was contacted by the Ebonyi State Command to trace the origin and parents of the child.
“To respond, the command made an intense effort to find his parents for identification and collection. After a thorough confirmation process, the boy has been given to Onwe Sabastine, his father.”
