Kansas City Chiefs star, Travis Kelce, who has become a pop culture icon, appeared on the Pat McAfee Show on ESPN on Wednesday. Predictably, the conversation turned to Taylor Swift. came up.
Who would have imagined?
To be fair, it would be unfair to interview Travis Kelce without asking about Swift. Their relationship is currently one of the biggest stories in America. Whether people like it or not, there is a lot of interest.
Despite McAfee insisting that he hosts a "sports program" and does not want to discuss the Kelce-Swift relationship, he still brought it up several times.
In fact, McAfee managed to get Kelce to talk more about his relationship with Taylor Swift than we've probably ever heard from him.
McAfee mentioned that many people may have initially thought the relationship was not real, or maybe just a publicity stunt, but now they realize that "he's in love."
When McAfee said that, Kelce's face lit up with a big smile. He did not deny being in love and instead said, "It's a wonderful thing… we're two people in a relationship supporting each other and having fun with it. It's nothing more than that."
Kelce also mentioned that he is aware of the criticism they receive, but they rarely talk about it.
"It's not even worth discussing," he said.

The fact that Kelce did not deny being in love aligns with what seemed to be Taylor Swift whispering "I love you" when they met on the field after the AFC Championship game.
Finally, McAfee inquired about the upcoming Grammy Awards ceremony set to take place on Sunday. Obviously, Swift is nominated for several awards, as usual.
Unfortunately, Kelce mentioned that the Chiefs have to practice for the Super Bowl and he cannot attend the Grammy Awards.
It was expected that the two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl would involve a lot of discussion about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
It's good to see that we're off to a running start!
